My new job as a pizza chef at Cook for Charity

Last night despite the snow and sleet, we made our way to a quaint and simply delightful Cook restaurant to participate in their #CookForCharity series. Ben and I were honored to be celebrity chefs for a night and cook up our favorite Hawaiian Flatbread to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital.

IMG_1356This was my brick oven that I used to make all of the pizzas.

I came dressed the part according to Chef Paul!

Ben’s black velvet Theory jacket might not have been the best choice in attire for rolling out dough with copious amounts of flour…

This was an example of a pizza that I made! When Shannon and her boyfriend ordered two, they couldn’t tell which was mine and which was Chef Paul’s–I took that as a sign that i was HIRED!IMG_1357

I posted this pic on my instagram, according to my friend Linda, I made the hottest pizza delivery girl. IMG_1368

Chef Paul told his sous chefs that he was changing the dress code to mimic my fashionable attire.IMG_1361

We had special front row seats reserved for our friends John and Linda Henry, Russ and Lisa Mezikofsky, and JB Dowd.IMG_1359

I found the secret to delicious pizza…. a drizzle of olive oil and a dash of kosher salt on the top!  IMG_1351meet me at Cook another night, EVERYTHING there is homemade and delicious. That bucket of pineapple is not from a can, and the ham on our flatbread was homemade too!!!! I got to try Chef Paul’s mushroom truffle pizza. It literally BEAT my favorite “Portobello Pizza” from Figs–sorry Todd!

It’s right off the pike too, a short 10 minutes from Boston. (though Ben got lost and almost drove us to NYC…)

xo,

Tonya
